Dr. Kumara Wickramasinghe
Dr. Wickremasinghe, a product of Nalanda College Colombo. Following completion of education at Nalanda College, he entered the Vinnista Medical University Ukraine on a scholarship, where he successfully completed his degree in Medicine. After returning to the country he was appointed as an intern house officer to the Base Hospital Polonnaruwa. After short term appointment in Base Hospital Polonnarwa and in Base Hospital Vavuniya, he was appointed to the Sri Lanka Navy as a Medical Officer where he served for more than three years. Following the tenure in the Navy he was appointed as the Medical Officer - Maternal and Child Health (MO/MCH) in Polonnaruwa district where he worked closely with head of the district administration to uplift the maternal and child health services in the district. While working as the MO/MCH he was selected to fellow Masters in Medical Administration in the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo
At the successful completion of MSc in Medical Administration from Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo, he was appointed to the Malaria Control Programme of Sri Lanka. During this period he actively took participation of control of Malaria in the country, which eventually ended up with the elimination of Malaria from Sri Lanka. Later he was appointed as the Medical Superintendent of the Base Hospital Monaragala, where he served till he was selected to fellow Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Medical Administration in Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo.
After successfully completing the MD in Medical Administration course and local training component, he left to the USA for foreign training exposure and was attached to California State University, Long Beach, California, USA as a visiting fellow and also trained in Citrus Valley Health Partners Hospital Group in Los Angeles, California.
Following the completion of foreign training he returned to the country and was certified as a specialist in Medical Administration by the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo. He also secured Commonwealth MBA degree from the Open University of Sri Lanka.
After completion of his overseas training, upon return to the country he was appointed as the Director of the Leprosy Control Programme, Sri Lanka. Later he was appointed as the Director of the Castle Street Hospital for women the post which he held for more than three years. In February 2015 he was appointed as the Director of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital, Colombo which he held until he was appointed as the Deputy Director General of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka.

Dr.Chandana Gajanayaka
He completed his school education at D S Senanayake College Colombo and Graduated from the University of Peradeniya.He joined the Department of Health in the year 2000. Since then he has worked in different parts of the country. He did Masters in Medical Administration in year 2005 and completed the MD in Medical Administration in 2015. He did his post-Doctoral training in Sheffield Teaching Hospital, United Kingdom. He is a board certified consultant since 2017
After the Masters he worked as the MOIC of the Quality Secretariat (now Directorate of Healthcare Quality and safety) in the 1st Health Sector Development Project and was instrumental in establishing the Quality Management Units (QMU) throughout Southern and Uva Provinces. He was the Deputy Director of Medical Supplies Division at the time of humanitarian operations and was the focal point in the Ministry for the Medical Supplies to Northern and Eastern provinces of the country. Then he became the Medical Superintendent of the Base hospital Balapitiya and the Hospital became the Best Hospital in the Southern Province for three consecutive years (2010-2012). He held the posts of Director Institute of Oral Health and Dental Therapists Training School, Maharagama and Director of the National Dental Hospital (Teaching). Additionally he held the post of DDG Dental Services and the Director Tertiary Care Services (D/TCS) in the ministry of Health.
Additionally he has a Master degree in Public Administration (Colombo), Diploma in Project Monitoring and Evaluation (AFS) and a council member of the CMASL and ISMM (Asst. Secretary).
